B.I.A.B is a form of gel, as thin as gel polish but much stronger. It can be used on natural nails as an overlay or as a builder gel to make the nails longer

Is builder in a bottle good for nails?

B.I.A.B. Is strong but not damaging. It increases the nails flexibility meaning the nails are less likely to snap. It is perfect for clients with brittle nails or nail biters who’s nails just won’t grow

How long does builder in a bottle last?

BIAB lasts approximately 3 weeks however some clients get longer out of them

How do you remove builder in a bottle?

We do not recommend fully removing/soaking off B.I.A.B. Instead we will refill your nails. This allows the base to remain on the nail to hold the strength and a new layer and colour/design is applied over it.

What is the application process of builder in a bottle?

Firstly we prepare the natural nail by clipping and filing the nail. Then we push back the cuticles and trim the excess. The nail plate is the wiped down with acetone to dehydrate it. Then we apply the B.I.A.B in layers to gradually build up the nail. When this is complete the nails are wiped clean, buffed and smoothed into the perfect shape. This is followed by a colour or design of your choice and a shiny or matte top coat.

How long does builder in a bottle take?

B.I.AB. application can take anywhere between 1 hour and 1.5 hours. This will differ between first sets and refills and weather you want colour/ombre or nail art

The Dos and Don’ts of builder in a bottle

Dos
~Be careful of intense heat for the first 24 hours
~Use cuticle oil daily to keep your nails nourished, to stimulate growth and to prevent lifting
~ Always wear rubber gloves when washing up, cleaning and gardening
~ Always wash your hands throughly after being in contact with chlorine, insect repellant or sunscreen
~ Always return to salon for maintenance, removal and follow your nail technicans advice.

Don’ts
~Do not use your nails as tools as this could lead to cracking
~ Never pick or peel the product off as this could damage your natural nails
~ Avoid filing your nails and pushing back your cuticles as this will break the seal of the gel and can lead to chipping
